According to Mayo Clinic staff, "Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and swell and produce extra mucus. This can make breathing difficult and trigger coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath."

According to World Health Organisation,  "Asthma is a disease characterized by recurrent attacks of breathlessness and wheezing, which vary in severity and frequency from person to person."






Definition from Kids Health

According to Kids Health, "Asthma is a Chronic lung disorder that causes airways to become inflamed, which means that they swell and produce lots of thick mucus. The muscles surrounding the airways also tend to tighten, which makes the already clogged   airways even narrower."
